They were supposed to stay dry. Ha Ha!!!! Needless to say, they had to be stripped down to their underware before they could get into the car.

Ding Dong the Jake is Dead
Lyle, the great white hunter of Cedar Valley, got his turkey. We are all happy for him. It was pretty cool, just tonight at dinner we prayed daddy would get one and he did!!!!

Beauty in the Valley
I love this time of year!!!! Working in my flower garden and watching the valley come to life. The Japanese Quince below just started showing it's flowers yesterday or the day before.
Take a look at this view. Just to the west of our yard is Solon Creek. I love the buttercups or Cow slips that take over. It's just beautiful!!!!!!!!!

Who is that masked little man?
Shawny wanted to help his daddy haul wood but the little nats were horrible. You can see the solution he came up with. His orange ski mask with a bike helmet on top. What a crazy kid. Sierra and Shawny worked with their daddy for a couple hours taking turns driving their three wheeler up and down the hill. They actually hauled quite a bit of wood in their little wagon.

Happy 38th Birthday Honey!
I'm so am so thankful God made my husband. He is a loving and kind man. He places great value on his family and I feel so blessed to be his wife. I know God created Lyle for me and placed Sierra and Shawny in our home so they could grow up being loved and cared for by a daddy who loves his Heavenly Father. Shawny and Sierra have more fun helping others celebrate their birthdays. What a great daddy, letting the kids open his presents. I squeezed 38 candles on Lyle's cake and nearly set his cake in fire. He blew them out with no problem! 38 isn't as old as it used to be:)
